Domaine de Clayou’s vineyard is located in Layon clay-schist hillsides, an area famous for its beautiful terroirs in the heart of Anjou. From a family of winegrowers, passionate about the vine and wine, Jean-Bernard Chauvin arrived at the head of the Estate in 1984 with his wife Catherine. Since 2016, their son Denis has represented the 4th generation of winemakers at the head of the family property. They farm the vines respecting the terroir and the environment according to the Terra Vitis specifications.
