Domaine Joël Delaunay
Thierry DELAUNAY,
Pouillé - (41) Loire et Cher
The Domaine, which borders the Cher river, is located near the famous Château de Chenonceau, at the east of Tours in the town of Pouillé (41). Passed down from father to son for 5 generations, Thierry Delaunay settled on the Estate in 1998, then he succeeded his father in 2003 with his wife Marie. Both extended the family tradition while cultivating the vines with the greatest respect for the terroir (varied soils of flint clays and bournais) and the environment. Over time, passion and innovation have made their wines quite famous both in France and internationally.
In 2010 Thierry and Marie Delaunay acquired 3 hectares of vines planted on the same hill cultivated in organic farming for a few years already which allows them to vinify a Touraine rosé and a Touraine red in organic.
