Domaine du Fondis

As the 6th generation, Laurent and Géraldine Jamet run the vineyard around their house which spread over the commune of Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil. Their 12 hectares lie on an ancient alluvial soil of the Loire and gravel terraces. Since 1999, they have extended their vineyard and cultivate an additional 11 hectares in the commune of Turquant, on the right bank of the Loire River, in the appellation area of Saumur. In this area the vines grow on tuffeau in the basement covered with a layer of clay-limestone. Wines are vinified and bottled at the cellar of Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil.
